You and your family are invited to join The Medical Center Community Walking Program. Walking is one of the easiest ways to improve the cardiovascular health of your family. Simple, comfortable clothes and walking shoes are all that you need.

There is no fee to join, but participants are asked to complete a registration form. Each person will then be provided a card  to log the miles he/she walks. When completed, the mileage log cards can be turned in for quarterly prize drawings. You can count the miles anywhere you walk including your neighborhood, the mall, treadmills, area parks with walking trails, and even while you’re on vacation.

Anyone with a health risk factor should contact his or her personal physician to make sure it is safe to start a walking program.

There are several ways you can obtain a registration form:

  • You can call The Medical Center Community Wellness Department (745-1010 or 1-800-624-2318) and a form will be mailed to you.
  • You can pick up a pre-posted form at the Health & Wellness Center in Greenwood Mall and in the lobby of The Medical Center at Bowling Green, Scottsville and Franklin.
  • You can print the registration form* and mail the completed form to:
